Morning Everyone

As promised here are some pictures of the recent Wedding Fayre we did at Westpoint, Exeter at the beginning of October (http://south-west.weddinglink.co.uk/home).

The lovely Sarah Lauren Photography took some pictures of the cakes and the stand with our smiling ugly mugs – so please just relax and enjoy.

I couldnt do the fayres without the help of lovely people like my Mum, Laura and Nicky all of whom gave up their weekend to help me, so a massive thank you to all of them and obviously also to Mr ESC for keeping me vaguely sane in the buildup to each event.

Wedding Fayres

Hi my lovelies

So now we are at the end of wedding season it is that time of year that see us busy with all the Autumn wedding fayres.

So far the Eat Sleep Cake express has booked themselves in to five wedding fayres where we had / will have our scrummy fairtrade, organic and locally produced cakes to sample. And we have on show some of the new techniques and design ideas that have been buzzing round in our heads for months.

The first show we did was at the Thistle Hotel (the old Rougemont) in Exeter on 4th September. We did our first wedding fayre there last year and had a blast, and now we are their preferred cake supplier as well. It’s a great central venue with plush furnishings and the added bonus of being right opposite Central station (easy to make that get away for your honeymoon with no driving!) and opposite Northernhay Gardens, which can provide a great back-drop for photographs.

Next we did the Debenhams two-day wedding event on 17th & 18th September at Debenhams in Exeter city centre. Luckily I remembered to leave my purse at home for that one or I think I would have spent far too much money – me and Designers at Debenhams cooped up together for two days is never going to end well!

Then we had the big one – the South West Brides wedding fayre at Westpoint Arena on 7th & 8th October. We had a larger stand than last year and really set it up with lots of delicious details as well as our show cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other delicious delights. We saw so many lovely brides and now it is a case of working my way through all the enquiries so don’t worry I will get to you soon if you havent heard from me already!

Sarah Lauren Photography  took a photo of the Eat Sleep Cake crew on our stand on Sunday so when I manage to get hold of it I will get it posted up.

The last two fayres we are doing are both the weekend of 12th / 13th November. The first one is a two-day fayre out at Killerton, the National Trust property nr. Exeter, and the other is on Sunday 13th November at the lovely Buckland-Tout-Saints hotel down near Kinsgbridge.

I hope to see some people there. I am going to finish this now before it takes me another month to finish (started this post on August 19th!!!)
