Birthday Week

So this week has been a bit crazy.

Not only has it been my birthday but it has also been my boyfriend’s too. This is because we have the same birthday which some people say is a bit freaky but it is just a co-incidence honestly!!! So I wanted to make us a joint birthday cake that he didn’t know about as a surprise for our birthday dinner on Friday.  Unfortunately as his over-riding passion is for Man Utd I ended up deciding to make a footie shirt cake – though I did make it half Reading FC too as that is my team!!

Before that though I had a leaving cake to make, which I baked in a delicious orange sponge with lemon butter icing, and then half covered in pink and purple flowers with pretty cutout detailing. It was lovely to do such a pretty girly cake in a week that I did the footie shirt cake and a fishing cake!

Apart from that the website has also now gone live finally and I did a fishing cake for a 60th birthday, so it’s all been go, go, go.
